Jets' Harris is in doubt

New York Jets linebacker David Harris was absent form the practice Tuesday with a sprained right ankle, and his status was uncertain for entering the AFC wild-card playoff game at Cincinnati.

"It's too early to tell," Jets coach Rex Ryan said. "He was there for the walkthrough and all that, but he didn't practice." As a leading tackler, his sitting out would be a heavy blow to the NFL'S top-ranked defense. His ankle was hurt uring the first half of the regular-season finale against the Bengals on Sunday and was sidelined in the second half. Ryan was not certain if Harris would join the practice Wednesday or play Saturday.

Ryan Fowler who was just recovering from a head injury may take his palce. But certain media said Ryan was not wearong a jets jersey during the practice.
